Electrophoresis is a common separation science technique with principles forming the core of many biochemistry methods such as Southern blot technique. Electrophoresis finds application in the field of cancer diagnosis and gene sequencing. In this project, pioneer research is carried out to first establish experiment procedures then, improvise and enhance current electrophoresis methods. This is done by combining microchip electrophoresis together with capacitively-coupled contactless conductivity detection methods. The results is a highly time efficient setup.
