In order to achieve a better understanding of the factors influencing the performance of bulk heterojunction based polymer organic solar cells, simulation is necessary for the device as it can predict the results such as short-circuit current, open-circuit voltage without man-made factor effect compared to experiment result. For this project, we focus on the thickness effect of different layers on the performance of poly(3- hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and 1-(3-methoxycarbonyl)-propyl-1-phenyl-(6,6)C61 (PCBM) based organic solar cell.
