The aim of this project was to develop an web-based fingerprint identification system that allows any medical organizations to identify an unconscious patient (through fingerprint scanning) and retrieve his/her personal particulars, medical history/record, and contact person information from the database during an emergency situation. The system is also useful in a non-emergency case, whereby the patients do not have to remember their medical details when visiting different medical organizations. In this case, the medical organizations can choose to retrieve the patient's medical history/record through fingerprint scanning or identity card (passport) number.Master of Science (Consumer Electronics
