The report takes an approach to study the performance of a newly developed compressor through a parametric study. Firstly, the report starts with a literature review which studies several different types or rotary compressors while addressing its advantages and limitations. Following that, five mathematical models which were used to predict the working characteristics of the compressor which were later used to evaluate the performance. The models being used are: 1) The geometrical model was used to calculate the volume of the compressor 2) Thermodynamics model was used to calculate pressure and temperature 3) Mass Flow model was used to calculate the mass flow entering and leaving the compressor 4) Dynamics model was used to calculate frict...
