In-situ mechanical loading testing is a division of field testing where the sample is tested in place without changing the environment. It is able to give information on the structural evolution of material in microscopic level. This has been widely used to study the tensile or compressive behavior of materials. Design of in-situ testing device has been developed in various fields for practical reasons. This project is an industrial collaboration between Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech).
