This report details the process of developing a program which serves as a learning aid for students who are studying Mechanics of Materials (MOM). This program provides students with information on how to calculate normal stress due to bending of the bending of the beams. This program consists of theories, tutorials and helpdesk. Firstly, theories are taken from textbooks and lecture notes. Theories in the program are simplified for students to better understand the topic. It is separated into three sections. They are “Shear force and bending moment”, “First and Second Moment of Area” and “Bending theory”. Audio is also attached to the theories to provide the student with an online lecture. Secondly, tutorials are also taken from textbook...
