With the compulsory day off policy for foreign domestic workers introduced five years ago, romance is blossoming among more migrant workers here. But it is a rocky road ahead of them as they face far more obstacles than any ordinary couple. On top of restrictive labour laws, such as an anti-pregnancy law, foreign domestic workers and their partners must juggle familial and societal expectations while working long hours.
