Heat transfer is important across a wide range of engineering problem and can be categorised into three types, mainly thermal conduction, convection and radiation. Topic of the present study is analysing conduction steady-state heat transfer and transient temperature distribution in homogenous and functionally-graded materials. A comprehensive study on Boundary Element Method (BEM) computational numerical modelling was also carried out. MATLAB programming was developed and implemented to solve several test problems.
