ABSTRAKSI: Seiring dengan perkembangan kebutuhan, maka timbul suatu permasalahan baru dalam bidang pengelolaan dan pengembangan jaringan pipa air bersih, yaitu bagaimana cara melakukan penghematan dalam pembuatan suatu jaringan pipa air bersih. Hal tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan cara mengoptimalkan diameter pipa yang akan dipasang dalam sebuah jaringan, sehingga didapatkan cost pipa dengan harga yang paling minimum akan tetapi demand yang ada tetap terpenuhi. Pada tugas akhir ini dikembangkan suatu sistem yang dapat mencari penghematan dalam sebuah jaringan pipa air bersih dengan menggunakan algoritma genetika.
