International audienceIntroduction: Aztreonam-avibactam (ATM-AVI) is a promising β-lactam-β-lactamase inhibitor combination to treat serious infections caused by multi-drug resistant (MDR) pathogens including those producing metallo-β-lactamases (MBLs). Three distinct effects have been previously characterized for AVI: inhibition of β-lactamases, proper bactericidal effect and enhancement of ATM bactericidal activity.
