MicroTCA-based LLRF systems for beam control and beam diagnostics are gaining traction in many facilities around the world. Over the past decade, a comprehensive portfolio of hardware solutions (boards, crates, backplanes) has become available to cater for demanding signal processing applications in state-of-the-art facilities like the European XFEL. Gradually, industrial applications of MicroTCA also have become more common.
