The emission spectra of ArXeH, ArKrD in an argon matrix and KrXeD in a krypton matrix were observed by exciting the rare-gas impurities with synchrotron radiation. Excitation spectra of KrXeD and KrXeH were measured and compared with the excitation of $Xe_2D$. The isotopic effect between hydrogen- and deuterium-doping is seen by different vibrational progressions. With the aid of a simple model, the similarity between these excitations is explained and the emission and excitation energies of the exciplex-hydrides were calculated. Radiative lifetimes were measured for ArKrD (37 ns) and KrXeD (17 ns)
