Este artículo analiza críticamente las implicaciones políticas y filosóficas de la unificación del Derecho privado en Europa. Las propuestas comunitarias no atienden únicamente a un fin económico, sino que buscan un fin político similar al pretendido en el proceso codificador del siglo XIX: la unidad política.
