The installation of the European X-ray Free Electron Laser accelerator at the Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron (DESY) in Germany is well on its way and scheduled to finish summer of 2016.This presentation gives a status report on the low level radio frequency (LLRF) installation for the accelerator, with an emphasis on the different commissioning and validation steps of the LLRF system.A brief reminder of the architecture of the MicroTCA-based LLRF system will be given, followed by warm commissioning results obtained for the first accelerating stations and beam commissioning plans to be carried after the accelerator cool down.This contribution will also report on the on-going software effort to automate the commissioning steps, as well as t...
