Banana is a perennial herbaceous plant widely cultivated in the tropical and subtropical regions. The pulp of the fruit is a rich source of minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, low glycemic carbohydrates, and fiber, and thereby its consumption has beneficial effects on human health.
