White micas from metamorphics and plutonics of Peloritani Mts. and Aspromonte have been studied by X-ray, chemical and optical methods. The white micas result to be muscovites in all the examined rock types (Milazzo paragneisses and leucosomes; Capo Rasocolmo and Villa S. Giovanni leucogranodiorites and pegmnatites), apart from the microcime gneisses of Milazzo, which contain phengitic micas. Some difference exists also between muscovites of paragneisses and associated leucosomes, whereas the white micas of leucogranodiorites and pegmatites of two different masses (Capo Rasocolmo and Villa S. Giovanni) appear to be fairly similar
