According to the current curriculum that the learning process where are students expected to play more active role during the learning process. The learning process was in the hands of the students, the teacher as the facilitator. Bruning et al (cited in Schunk, 2012:320) who stated that constructivism is the perspective of psychology and philosophy which considers that each individual form of build as large of what they learn and understanding. In the process of learning, knowledge is not just transferred from the teacher to the students in a particular form, but rather the students form their own knowledge that in his mind each of them so that knowledge about something is understood differently by students. The purpose of this research is (1) To determine the knowledge and understanding of the teachers about the theory of constructivism in learning, (2) to know the knowledge and understanding of the teacher of accounting in the basic skills of teaching, (3) to determine the knowledge and understanding of the teachers accounting about a skills opening and closing a lesson, (4) to determine how the implementation of skills to open and close the lesson which has been owned by a teacher of accounting in SMKN 2 Kediri during learning process. This research used descriptive qualitative. The research instrument in this research used interview, classroom observation, and documentation. The steps of this research was checking validity of the findings. Based on the results of interview, the teacher of accounting in SMKN 2 Kediri was constructivism as a learning theory that emphasizes the liveliness of the students. The liveliness of the students is the way to build or construct the knowledge of students. The role of the teacher was central in the learning process, however, turned into facilitators who helps students in the process of constructivisms’ knowledge. In the implementation of the skills of opening and closing the lesson, the teacher has to meet as the components are there. The implementation has been in accordance with the perspective of constructivism
