The translation procedure as a foundation of education ir art museums

This research focuses the theme of education at art museums and seeks to discuss the foundations of the education practiced by museums through the concept of translation. The main objective of the dissertation is, through bibliographical research, to answer the question-problem: “in what way translation can be a foundation of educational pratice at art museums?”. For that, the work reframed the concept of translation through three procedures: literary, educational and epistemological; briefly raised the historical process of museum education; and also problematized historical and plural museums perspectives in relation with the reframed conception of translation. The study open with the idea that translation is: a development of a new authorship text; an effort in apreehension of knowledge; and a link between multiple views in knowledge production. As a conclusion, the work acknowledged that translation can support an emancipatory educational practice at art museums concerned about the importance of language, and as an essentially open model that is made through process and plurality.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)Esta pesquisa tem como tema a educação em museus de arte e busca discutir os fundamentos da educação praticada pelos museus a partir do conceito de tradução. O objetivo geral da dissertação é, através de pesquisa bibliográfica, responder à pergunta-problema: “de que forma a tradução pode ser um fundamento da prática educativa nos museus de arte?”. Para isso, o trabalho ressignificou o conceito de tradução a partir de três procedimentos: literário, educativo e epistemológico; levantou brevemente o processo histórico da educação museal; e também problematizou perspectivas históricas e plurais dos museus em relação ao conceito ressignificado de tradução. A reflexão partiu da ideia de que a tradução é: construção de um novo texto autoral; um esforço de apreensão do conhecimento; e articulação entre perspectivas múltiplas na produção de conhecimento. Como conclusão, o trabalho reconhece que a tradução pode sustentar uma prática educativa emancipatória nos museus de arte preocupada com a importância da linguagem, e como um modelo fundamentalmente aberto que se realiza em processo e em pluralidade
