The search for biomaterials compatible with human bones is one of the most investigated topics in science today, due to its applications, not only as grafts, but as releasing drug agents, dermal fillers, among others. The present study describes a recent method for synthesis of apatites, which can be used in medical and dentistic applications for osteoconduction, bone formation, releasing of biological agents or fillers for alloys with other biocompatible ceramic material or not. The characterization of this material, the form of industrial scale production and overhead costs of production and sales are presented.
