This survey was conducted with caiçaras of Ilhabela, a city-archipelago located in the northern coast of the State of São Paulo - Brazil. This social group is understood as part of social, economic, cultural and historical relations, which allows them to take ownership, learn and interpret the values and behaviors related to their own time and place. The question of this research study was: "What teaches the caiçara being caiçara in Ilhabela? The central objective was to understand the processes involved in educational development of the caiçara , taking into account its routine (ways to live, work, play , movie, teach and learn).
