Evaluasi pelaksanaan program kesehatan usia lanjut di puskesmas se-Kabupaten Sleman = Evaluation of implementation for health program of aged in all community health centers in Sleman district

Background: The health program of aged in Yogyakarta Province was implemented only in Sleman District which has a gave complete report to Office of Health in province. Therefore the aim of research is to assess the implementation of the health program of aged in community health center (CHC) in Sleman District. Method: This is a descriptive-explorative study that used qualitative data as the method. Data was collected from: 1) Focus group discussion to program coordinators, public figure, and aged2) In-depth interview with the chief of CHC, program coordinator, and public figure. While the quantitative data was collected from: 1) Observation towards the implementation of three posyandu usia lanjut in different CHC2) Questionnaires towards all program coordinators and cross checked toward all involved documents. Results: The result of the study showed that the implementation of the health program of aged in CHC Sleman District has fulfilled the indicator that made by Office of Health in Yogyakarta Province and Department of Health RI in 1998. All the CHC, which exist in Sleman District, have done the health program of aged and have program coordinator. The support factors are government policy, health education background of program coordinator, high participation of the community. The inhibited factors are the supervision that was not implemented, program coordinators have lack of knowledge in program management, coordination in cross program and sectoral was not optimal.
