The objective of this research was to prove that digital image analysis can assist practitioners to identify the damaged bones. The samples used were normal and damaged long bones, with kinds of bones were humerus, legs, and knees. Some image analysis techniques performed were image preprocessing until an image was prepared to be further processed, feature extraction, and image segmentation. Image preprocessing may be noise removal, intensity adjustment, or histogram equalization. In part of feature extraction, spatial feature extraction, and boundary extraction were used, whereas in part of segmentation, edge \u27detection and its dilation were used.
