Based on lizerman\u27s map, the morpftology Rf Jakarta city was identical with that of traditional cities in Java from 16 to 18 centuries like Demak, Cirebon, Banten, Kota Gede, Kartasura, Surakarta, and Yogyakarta From Der Parra\u27s map Jakarta in 18\u27 century developed into a colonial city with streets and canals crossing one another like grid pattern. The center of the city was surrounded by walls and canals or moats and Kali Ciliwung with streets in the left or right as backbone of the city.
