Population growth and labour force in the agricultural sector have caused many work problems in the rural areas. The aims of this thesis were to investigate the the raise of dairy cattle on employment opportunities in the rural areas, and to understand labour activities of this kind of to work. The study was expected to become a comparatives and income in the agricultural sector, particularly concerning dairy cattle. The method used in study was the qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative method was conducted through observation, indept interview, as well as staying in the study areaswhereas the quantitative method was done through questionnaires in order to obtain appropriate data from seventy respondents. The study showed that there were the major part (78.6 percent) of the husbandry of dairy cattle was the breeder\u27 main occupation. Every household spends about 6.95 hours per day in this activity with an average labour of 2.7 workers. Every worker worked around 2.6 hours per day on average. The participation of the household workforce had a positiue correlation with the number of catleis. A many as 38.6 percent of the breeders employed paid labours, about 14.8 percent of which are permanent paid labours. The nature of a growing employment related to dairy cattle was primarily belonged to service and trading sectors. Such kind of activities was resulted from production and consumption interrelation which had backward and forward linkages. Industrial sector had not been develop yel.In their growth and development, the natures of employment related to dairy cattle had been influenced by tow factors, i.e., supporting and inhibiting factors consisting of geographical conditions, cooperation, land-use, and transportational facility and infrastructure. The breeders group and the cooperation of dairy cattle association had played a substantial role in the activities.The significant role of the cooperation in determining marketing-link price as wellas partial application of ccoperation principles had a negative impart on thr: member\u27s income. For this reason, the cooperation should make a self-corrective action in terms of its role recently. Effort that can be done by the cooperation in improving the employment opportunity among other things is to conduct with privats sectors in order to diversify farming products, which in turn can increase the rural employment opportunities.
