Pendidikan Melalui Metode Kombinasi Ceramah dan Diskusi Tentang HIV/AIDS Pada Kader Posyandu Di Kecamatan Gringsing Kabupaten batang Jawa Tengah

ABSTRACT The spread out of HIV/AIDS in all levels of community or elements has become greater. This virus is an important health problem that necessary to be solved soon. Communities, in general, and integrated service cadre, specifically, were not yet known, react and respond to activities in the effort of HIV/AIDS virus prevention, so that a clearer information process is neededthat is, through health education for cadre as soon as possible by using effective method. The aim of this study was to investigate effectiveness of education method (speech and discussion) in improving knowledge and attitude of integrated service cadre regarding HIV/AIDS. This study was using quasi experiment with non-randomized control group pretest-posttest. The subject of this study was an integrated service cadre with sample of 66 cadres. There were 33 cadres (treatment group) whom involved with speech and discussion method and 33 cadres (control group) whom involved only with speech method. The location for this study was in Grinsing sub-district, Batang regency, Central Java. Result of pretest and posttest data was analyzed by using t-test to measure the difference treatment with significant p =0,05. The result of this study shown that there was a significant difference between treatment group (discussion and speech method) with control group (speech method) in improving knowledge of cadre in the prevention effort of HIV/AIDS virus (
