ABSTRACT Plant latex is one of the alternative renewable energy sources. After beeing tapped, the latex is dried and then pyrolyzed to liquid fuel and gas. Pyrolysis of dried keluwih (Artocarpus Communis Frost) latex in a deflecting tube reactor did not produce much liquid fuel due to the long period of contact of the product with the hot wall. Straight tube reactor might give more liquid product. Melted sukun (Artocarpus Communis Frost) latex was introduced into the hot reactor. Pyrolysis started soon and the gas produced, replaced the sodium chloride solution in the gas collecting bottle. After a while the liquid product fell dropwise from the condensers to the liquid receivers. The reactor temperature was controlled manually using a powe...
