Gynecological examination alone is not sufficient for diagnosing the stage of cervical cancer. Radiologic examination should be conducted to detect distant metastases. Intravenous pyelography, lymphangiography, chest x-ray, barium enema abdominal and pelvic, CT scan, ultrasonography of liver, bone isorop scan are necessary.
