ABSTRACT Anemia during pregnancy in Indonesia including Central Java remain high. Anemia during pregnancy have unexpected effect such as prolonged labor, hemorrhage, Low Birth Weight (LBW), abortion and prematurity. The effect of anemia during pregnancy through to LBW and prematurity has not been performed in Central Java predominantly. Objective of this study is to know the effect of anemia during pregnancy and their relationship with LBW and prematurity and to identify the risk factors of LBW and prematurity.
