The present doctoral dissertation is aimed at contributing to advance the existing scientific knowledge on how to better implement democracy at the school level. Particularly, it is about identifying those aspects that condition democracy and the concept of democracy of school administrators. The present research considers the teachers, students, family members and other community members to be at the centre. Data has been gathered through five successful case studies. Data analysis has been based on a qualitative methodology.
