Preparation and characterization of molecular adducts of diarylantimony(V) chlorides, R₂SCl₃.L

901-903Hexacoordinated molecular adducts of diarylantimony(V) chlorides of the general formula, R2SbCl3L(R =C6H5, p-CH3C6H4, p-CI C6H4, p-FC6H4, p-OCH3 C6H4; L = DMSO, DBSO, pyo, Ph3AsO; Ph3PO, py, (α-, β- and ϒ-picolines, DMF, HMPA and TU) have been synthesised and characterized. These complexes are stable in air at room temperature. They are monomeric in nitrobenzene and behave as non-electrolytes in nitrobenzene and methanol. Solid state IR and 1H NMR spectral data suggest an octahedral coordination around antimony
