800-803The effects of ionisable and non-ionisable surfactants on the polarographic behaviour of TI(I), Pb(ll), SB(III), U(VI), Bi(III), Cu(ll), Cd(ll), In(lll), Cr(lll) and Ti(IV) in acetate medium are described. The cationic surfactant, DDA+, causes a little enhancement effect of most of the studied metal ions. The non-ionic surfactant, TX-100, causes a marked shifting of E1/2 of all metal ions (except TI(I)) to more negative potentials. The anionic surfactant, DDSO, serves as an electrochemical masking agent. for In(III) wave but does not affect markedly the reduction waves of other metal ions. A method for determination of In(III) in the presence of Cd(Il), TI(I), Pb(ll), Cu(Il), Cr(lll) and Ti(IV) using a mixture of anionic and non-ion...
