93-101The present study traces the ecology of two sympatric Nassariid species namely Nassarius(Niotha)stolatus (Gmelin) and Nassarius(Zeuxis)foveolatus (Dunker) distributed along the north-east coast of India. The seasonal abundance, population fluctuation of the two species has measured in selected study sites. The physico-chemical parameters of water and soil and their inter- relationship with the population fluctuation have also measured. There are spatiotemporal variations among the studied Nassariid species along the north east coast of India
