131-133It is often noticed that at vertical incidence the Doppler frequency of hf radio waves (10 MHz-ATA New Delhi) received via the ionosphere shows quasi-periodic fluctuations with time. A preliminary study of these fluctuations has been made by subjecting the records to spectral analysis. It is inferred that the observed Doppler frequency fluctuations could be due to atmospheric gravity waves at the F2-region heights
