139-141Ionospheric E-region drifts measurements at two tropical latitudes, viz. Ahmedabad (dip 34° N) and Yamagawa (dip 43° N), show similar drift patterns which agree with neutral wind model of G V Groves [J. Br. interplanet. Soc., 22(1969), 285]. The change of circulation pattern from the westward during winter season to eastward during summer is associated with an equatorward movement of Sq focus during equinoxes and summer but not to the extent of satisfactorily explaining the observed seasonal change of the drift pattern
