196-198Results of analysis of diurnal, noontime and constant zenith angle A1 absorption measurements carried out during the period Feb-Sep. 1978 at 2.4 and 5.6 MHz shows that the absorption at these frequencies is well correlated with 1-8 Å X-ray flux. The correlation is stronger at 2.4 MHz. The diurnal variation indices are in general agreement with earlier values at both the frequencies. The frequency variation is larger values at both the frequencies. The frequency variation index is less then unity. Equinoxial values of absorption are larger than the summer values. The seasonal anomaly seems to be less pronounced for forenoon values of absorption
