24-28Results of an exhaustive study of the effect of corrugated flanges on the radiation patterns and impedance conditions of H-plane sectoral horns are presented. It has been established that the corrugated flanges are much more effective in beam-shaping and impedance matching than their equivalent plane flanges. A theoretical analysis of the corrugated flange-mounted sectoral horn, on the basis of line source theory is presented and the theoretical predictions are found to be in general agreement with experimental values
