306-308The cyclotron interaction between whistler mode waves and energetic electrons is studied for a latitudinal range 30-40°, assuming the interacting wave of 5 kHz frequency and non-linear pitch angle scattering. It is observed that at 36° geomagnetic latitude the precipitation probability is highest. An explanation to this effect has been provided in this paper
