129-137Factors responsible for self-complicated structural imperfections of needled jute fabric were analyzed theoretically with regard to the fabric tensile strength. The actual fabric structure was also examined. The needle-punched jute web had very poor strength and dimensional stability but the tensile strength of jute non-wovens improved with a higher fibre-loop length.</span
