Syntheses of anthraquinonoid disperse dyes containing s-triazine moiety and their application on polyester fibre

211-214<span style="font-size:11.0pt;line-height:115%; font-family:" calibri","sans-serif";mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-fareast-font-family:="" "times="" new="" roman";mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-fareast;mso-hansi-theme-font:="" minor-latin;mso-bidi-font-family:calibri;mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-latin;="" mso-ansi-language:en-us;mso-fareast-language:en-us;mso-bidi-language:ar-sa"="">Twenty anthraquinonoid disperse dyes, viz. 2-(p-nitroanilino)-4 arylureido-6-[4'-(p-N-morpholineanilino)anthraquinone-1'-yl-amino]-s-triazines (IXa-j) and 2-(p nitroanilino)-4-arylthioureido-6-[4'-(p-N-morpholineanilino) anthraquinone-1'-yl-amino]-s-triazines (Xa-j) were prepared by condensing the sodium salt of bromamine acid (I) with N-morpholinoaniline (II) followed by desulphonation and reaction with cyanuric chloride, p-nitroaniline and then with various arylureas (VIIa-j) and arylthioureas (VIIIa-j). These compounds when applied on polyester fibres gave maroon and brown shades with moderate to good light fastness, good to excellent wash fastness and very good to excellent exhaustion.
