Solvent extraction and separation studies of osmium (VIII) with Bis-2 ethylhexyl phosphoric acid

The metal ion from the loaded organic phase is stripped with mixture of thiourea and HCl and then determined by the thioerea method. The method is simple and can be used for the selective extraction and separation of osmium from other metal ions.
