139-145The effect of unsaturated aliphatic and aromatic acids such as acrylic acid and cinnamic acid on the properties of epoxy resins has been studied by synthesizing related resins in their presence at 110±2oC. These resins have been characterized by IR, 1HNMR, spectroscopy by the thermal analysis. The reaction follows first order kinetics with activation energy 53 and 92 kJ mol-1 for resins containing cinnamic acid and acrylic acid, respectively.
