320-324Remote sensing and Geographical Information System (GIS) are the appropriate systems to gather data and later on its management. The fast development of these systems has rendered simplification to the management and analysis in this sphere. In GIS (special and non-special) an important and useful data-base is prepared by means of appropriate arrangements of data. As a result of this database understanding the maps becomes simpler. In this paper the uses of the above techniques have been described with special reference to land management, data management and environmental awareness
