287-290A detailed study was conducted to know the utilization of medicinal plants among the tribal ladies in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. In this study 120 ladies were selected from Kundam block of Jabalpur district and data were collected on the basis of their personal interviews. They described extremely wonderful formulations, in which wild plants are used for the treatment of major diseases of human beings and animals and food grain protection by different means for example papaya fruits and kher bark in jaundice, use of dub ghas, tulsi leaf, kachnar bark, bamboo root, amaltas bark and babool leaves, sooran and kachraiya leaves in gastric problem of animals.
