Synthesis of new steroidal oxime-ether derivatives

2869-2871Reaction of 3β-acetoxycholest-5-en-7-one oxime 1, 3β-chlorocholest-5-en-7-one oxime 2, and Cholest-4-en-3-one oxime 3, in methanol with chloroethylamine hydrochloride in the presence of base (sodium methoxide) afford 3β-acetoxy-7-(2'-aminoethoxyimino)-cholest-5-ene 4, 3β-choloro-7-(2'-aminoethoxyimino)-cholest-5-ene 5 and 3-(2'-aminoethoxyimino)-cholest-4-ene 6, respectively in good yields.
