Add to ORKG453-456Reactions of [{Ru(η6-arene)Cl2}2] (η6-arene = benzene, p-cymene, hexamethylbenzene) in methanol, in presence of AgBF4/AgPF6 with 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm) give cationic hydrido complexes [Ru(η6-arene)(dppm)H]+.However, under similar and some changed conditions, reaction with pyridine result in the formation of [Ru(η6-arene)(py)3]2+ and [Ru(η6-arene)(py)2Cl]+. The reaction products have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H, 31P NMR and FAB mass spectra
