609-611Callus proliferation occurred on cotyledon explants cultured on Murashige and Skoog's medium (MS) supplemented with 2,4-D (3 mg/L) and BAP (0.5 mg/L). Suspension cultures were obtained by transferring and agitating callus dumps in liquid MS medium. Shoot bud differentiation was observed from cell aggregates on liquid MS medium containing HAP (3 mg/L) and NAA (0.5 mg/L) and multiple shoot formation was achieved on the same medium. Isolated shoots were rooted in MS medium (1/4strength) containing IAA (3 mg/L).Regenerated plants were established in pots
