1033-1036Partial oxidation of 2-propanol has been carried out on AB1-xB’xO3 (A = Ba; B = Pb, Ce ; B' = Bi, Sb, Cu) type perovskite oxides. Acetone is the major product observed on all the catalysts. All the catalysts undergo partial reduction during the reaction depending upon the composition of the reactant, nature of the B site cation and the extent of substitution at B site. The catalytic activity has been correlated with the reducibility of the perovskite oxides as determined from Temperature Programmed Reduction (TPR) studies
