16-18One of the major deterrents to regular and frequent access to space is the prohibitively high cost of the conventional launch vehicles that can be used only once. As part of its strategy to work out ways to lower the cost of space missions, the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) is now developing a semi-cryogenic propulsion system. As pointed out by Dr. K. Radhakrishnan,Chairman, ISRO, with a semi cryogenic engine, the cost of accessing space “becomes far,far less”
