This paper assesses the differences, in Italy, of pre-seismic theoretical-disciplinary approaches and urban planning-planner approaches, of the emergency approach-es (temporary urban planning), and the social-economic and territorial processes in the post-earthquake period. The paper in particular assesses the planning and pro-gramming knowledge currently acquired. The conclusions describe the disciplinary positions, procedures and the fundamental points generally shared for each approach
