The paper presents a method for the extraction of the transfer impedance of braided cable shield from measurement of the shielding effectiveness using a reverberation chamber. The cable shield is modelled by a distribution of voltage generators related to the external current induced by the reverberation chamber field. The field inside the reverberation chamber is described in terms of a plane wave integral representation, implemented by a proper FDTD (Finite Difference in Time Domain) algorithm to calculate current induced along the cable shield. The knowledge of the shield current and the measurement of the cable received power allows to recover the transfer impedance, which is a local parameter related to the shield geometry. Results are...
